RFP for COABE Journal Editor
The Journal of Research and Practice for Adult Literacy, Secondary, and Basic Education (the Journal) is a scholarly refereed journal committed to advancing the understanding and practice of adult literacy, secondary, and basic education.
The Journal strives to be inclusive in scope, addressing topics and issues of significance to scholars and practitioners concerned with diverse aspects of adult education.
The Journal publishes research employing a variety of methods and approaches including (but not limited to) survey research, experimental designs, case studies, ethnographic observations and interviews, grounded theory, phenomenology, historical investigations, and narrative inquiry as well as articles that address theoretical and philosophical issues pertinent to adult literacy, secondary, and basic education.

Letters of intent should be submitted to journal@coabe.org by September 31, 2014, and proposals should be received no later than October 31, 2014.
COABE wishes to thank Jim Berger for his faithful years of service first as a writer for the Journal, then as a member of the Journal Advisory Committee, and finally as editor of the COABE Journal, which is a role he assumed nearly three years ago. Jim has worked tirelessly to move the Journal forward and has improved greatly upon the framework provided by former editors and institutions.
