The University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Education announces a nine month academic position for the 2014-2015 academic year as a non-tenure-track assistant teaching professor in the department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. The primary purpose of this position is to teach graduate courses in the adult education field. The candidate in this position will teach a required number of student credit hours per academic year as determined by the College of Education and department chair.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Teach graduate courses commensurate with the faculty member’s expertise
- Collaborate with area schools and or community agencies
- Participate in committees, leadership , professional organizations and community service.
- Mentor graduate students who are undertaking research projects.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess an earned doctoral degree in Adult Education or a closely related field; teaching experience at the graduate level or successful experience working in schools, businesses, or other community organizations; excellent written and oral communication skills.
Expectations: The holder of this position will be expected to perform these duties in a professional manner and to abide by the collected Rules and Regulations of the University Systems. The holder of this position will report directly to the chair of the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies.
Salary and benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. This is a full-time 100% fte benefits eligible position for the nine month 2014-2015 academic year.
Appointment terms: This position has no rights to tenure at the University of Missouri.
- Appointment is a nine-month non-tenured faculty position for the 2014-2015 academic year, beginning August 15, 2014.
