Ph.D. Assistantship announcement
Hello AAACE colleagues,
I have received funding to pay for a PhD assistantship beginning this fall and am looking for a student who is interested in becoming a researcher in our field.
The position would provide for the student’s tuition, health benefits, and 20 hours/week of work – at roughly $18/hour – for 4 years. The student will be working directly with me as a Research Assistant, and it is preferable that their research interests align with mine. (They should look through my faculty page on the university website for more information, but much of my work involves transformative learning theory.) I do not have a formal job description, but this person will be helping with various aspects of research projects that employ both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Obviously, the student would need to be a strong applicant for our PhD program here at North Carolina State University. The degree is in Educational Research and Policy Analysis with an emphasis on Adult, Workplace, and Continuing Professional Education. (They need to already have a masters degree.)
If you have a graduating or former masters student whom you feel would be a strong applicant, please contact me atcdhoggan@ncsu.edu.
