Dr. Jack D. Mezirow, Professor Emeritus at Teachers College, Columbia University, passed away in New York, New York on September 24, 2014. His wife, Edee Mezirow, predeceased him on July 20, 2014. They are survived by Andrew Mezirow—Professional Captain, Maritime Studies Instructor, and Fisheries Policy Advisor residing in Seward, Alaska. The upcoming AHEA 2015 Conference is quickly approaching. We are excited about the opportunity to meet together on University of Central Florida's campus. Conference registration is now open. There are promotional flyers as well that you can use to recruit others to join us in Orlando, FL. You will also find information for those that are interested in being an exhibitor or sponsor.

AHEA is participating in the AAACE 2014 Conference resource area by sponsoring a booth. To properly staff the table, we are offering assistance with conference expenses up to $300 each for three persons. In exchange, each person is asked to work 3 four-hour shifts plus attend an orientation/training session. Work schedules will be available and assigned after selection of conference workers. Position Criteria: Current AHEA member (Active membership in 2014-2015), familiar with and dedicated to the AHEA mission. Customer service and sales experience.
