We welcome new members! If you are an individual, student or institution committed to alternative higher education for adults, please join our association of people from across the country who are engaged in action learning, reflection and discussion. The membership year is considered September 1 – August 31 (e.g., September 1, 2015-August 31, 2017).
All categories of membership are entitled to one voice and one vote each in the Alliance. Membership benefits include our newsletter and a listing in our membership directory. Institutional membership benefits also include a Member Institution listing on our web site.
Institutional membership is open to any college, university or other group that has implemented or plans to implement an alternative degree-granting program for adults. The annual institutional membership now covers three individuals from the institution which allows each of them to attend at the AHEA member’s rate each year at the conference. Membership benefits also include a member institution listing on our web site.
- Annual Fee: $120
Individual and Student memberships are available to individuals who are interested in the purposes of the Alliance.
Student members have the same responsibilities and receive the same benefits as individual members. Student membership requires an advisor’s signature on the membership application.
- Annual Fee, Individual Membership: $60
- Annual Fee, Student Membership: $35
Emeritus membership is open to individuals who have retired from the profession and are interested in the purposes of the Alliance.
- Annual Fee: $35
AHEA has the right to review all applications for membership and to accept or reject the applicant depending on the applicant’s qualification for institutional membership as defined in AHEA’s membership criteria.
